Strengthening nonprofits through community, leadership, development, and communications.

For twenty years I've worked where nonprofits and communities meet, as an executive director, a development and communications lead, and a corporate leader who connected a bank to the causes in its backyard.
The thread through all of it is connection. I believe it's the antidote to most of our challenges, and it's what makes an organization strong. I'm not perfect, and neither is any organization I've worked with. That's the point. The good work happens through that acknowledgement, and I love helping people see it and build on it.
From logistics like venues, menus, seating, entertainment, run of show, and speechwriting to fundraising through sponsorships, auctions, ticket sales, and asks; and all the collateral it takes to make it memorable!
Helping nonprofits weave their origin story and testimonials into their own special brand identity to set them apart and help them stand out.
Whether it's a newsletter, a social media plan, a public relations push, advocacy, or segmenting fundraising efforts, I've got hands-on and leadership experience across the board.
Getting organizations, businesses, and neighbors to the same table.
Building robust development strategies that connect passionate donors with your mission, from annual giving and specialized campaigns to major gift cultivation.

Improved gala attendance by 40% and doubled sponsorships in a single year. Partnered with Leadership Coachella Valley and local businesses to launch a multi-year comprehensive fundraising campaign. Managed communications, social media, public relations, and all fundraising efforts.

Led Arizona's HIV grantmaking foundation as executive director. Fundraised for and developed an expansive portfolio of grants, reaching $541,000 distributed in 2022 alone. Created three unique programs focused on youth, minority populations, and the aging community. Managed a move from a 400 sq ft office to a 2,000 sq ft suite, including lease negotiation, office design, and a fundraising campaign that garnered $25,000 in donated furniture, equipment and supplies. Advocated legislatively.

Spent over a decade climbing the ladder to Vice President in a specialized HR department supporting employees through loss, homelessness, domestic violence, and critical events. Led volunteer events for large departments (25 to 300 employees). Served as a volunteer company liaison to several local nonprofit relationships and worked with the Bank of America Community Foundation to review and approve local grant applications.
